As we all know summer blockbusters are more than just an endless stream of explosions and action sequences. Somewhere buried amid the rubble, hides a lesson (or two), some gem that we can carry with us through the rest of the year until the superheroes return to teach us again…and save us from the aliens of course.
Well, I’m here with some disappointing news. It’s all lies. Those invading aliens from far and distant galaxies that seek our destruction apparently wouldn’t waste their time or resources on us according to “the scientists.”
Oh and just adding insult to injury, if the aliens ever do reach us, their technology would most likely be far more advanced than our own, and we wouldn’t stand a chance. And it was thus that the probability of all science fiction plot lines ever met their demise. Thanks science.

But wait, what if that’s just what the aliens want us to believe? Perhaps they’ve sent these rumors ahead of their arrival so that their conquest of our planet can be as swift as possible. Well played aliens…well played.
