…Take Stock

AmazonIf you haven’t heard of the Amazon Dash Button yet, congratulations, you’re still a self-sufficient human being who knows where the grocery store is. However, that may soon change. (The hearing about it part, not being self sufficient…stay strong!)

For those, not in the know, these magical buttons were introduced by Amazon about a year ago. These wireless buttons are designed to reorder household items. It’s essentially free (with your $99 annual Amazon Prime membership fee) since you’re refunded the $4.99 purchase cost on your first order.

With a simple push of your Bounty or Tide button, Amazon will send paper towels or laundry detergent directly to your door. It’s actually a pretty cool concept for household necessities…or at least they were until now.

Amazon recently expanded its line of magical restocking buttons to include products such as Doritos, Slim Jims, and Red Bull. Not exactly a necessity, or something you would want to have a constant supply of. Plus, if they’re a regular part of your diet, you might want to consider a little more exercise than the walk to your door. However, it is great news for frat houses everywhere.

It should be noted that when the Dash Buttons were introduced a year ago, many thought it was an April Fools joke. A year later, here’s hoping that they were playing the long game.
