Happy Sunday, fellow crusaders! If you're having some trouble finding your "happy" today, just remember, we're another day closer to mid-term elections.
If you're still feeling the Sunday scaries, take heart in the fact that the world is still very much moving forward. For proof you need look no further than today's "Doctor Who" season premiere and the arrival of the series' 13th Doctor and first female to play the part, Jodie Whittaker.If nothing in that last sentence registered, allow me to quickly explain that you may not be a sci-fi nerd. And now I'll allow the 13th Doctor to explain in a little more detail...

Even if the concept still doesn't make sense, the point is that if a 55-year-old sci-fi series can change its stripes their might be hope for the rest of us. More importantly, if the sci-fi fans can get behind this kind of change there's no telling what else is possible.
So, take heart, there's always hope. After all, much like "Doctor Who" life is all about change. There will always be those who oppose it, but it's coming whether they like it or not. Sometimes change is for the better, and sometimes it makes you feel like you're moving backwards.
For today at least, we can get some forward momentum. It may seem silly and insignificant, but minds have been changed by far less than a show about a time traveling woman and her magical blue box.
