Taking a Trip to London!

Posted on the 27 January 2013 by Bellshann @bellshann

So yesterday me and my lovely boyfriend Kieron went to London on the train. It was an eventful day, starting out with me trying to put a ticket through a barrier that was already open. Yes, that actually happened. Then we stared dramatically out the window on the train making up a story in our heads whilst listening to Constellations (Enter Shikari)…well I did anyway, I don’t think Kieron is cool enough for that. Anyway! The point of the journey was to go and see Tim Walker’s exhibition Story Teller at Somerset House. Was I glad I went? YES! I didn’t realize that there would be so many of his props there. And the photographs, well it’s Tim Walker, they couldn’t be anything but magnificent. I managed to get a few sneaky snaps on my iPhone…

The lettering on the walls was just beautiful...

The exhibition ended today but if you got to view it then I’m sure you’ll agree it was an excellent layout.

After we saw the exhibition we decided to have a little stroll round London. I’m sorry, there is no way you could call it a stroll. We went over to the London eye and sat and had some food and then decided to go to Camden for some street photography. We found out the Northern Line was closed, but instead of changing our plans, we thought (I’m sure Kieron will say I made the decision) it would be a good idea to walk! WALK. For 3. Whole. Hours. My feet were killing and Costa was literally screaming my name! We got there in the end, after a lot of moaning on my part, and by then it was dark. I must say it is beautiful in a hippy, scruffy kind of way. Then we walked back to the train station and did some more dramatic out-of-the-window looking. Just to top off a tiring but lovely day, we had to wait in the freezing cold for over an hour for a bus home. To say I enjoyed the shower once I was home is an understatement.

My and my lovely.

This is how happy I was to get a nice warm, sugary cup of tea!
