The Joy Of No Longer Trying But Doing: #100DaysOfFitness Half Done I have always been a cautious person.  I asses risks before making decisions and am not much of a gambler. When I first had the idea of doing a 100 day challenge for working out I did not automatically think I would rise to the occasion.  I considered the risks of making a public commitment to work out every day for 100 days straight, with no days off.   The biggest risk was feeling embarrassed for not reaching my goal after sharing it with others. I decided to go for it anyway, despite the risks. Even still I proceeded with caution by telling my mom and my friends that I was going to try and do this challenge. I did not say I was going to do it. I said I'd try.
For such a little word, it accomplishes so much.  Those three letters, T-R-Y,  carry with them into any goal I work towards, all of the doubts I have about my abilities to commit and succeed.  The word TRY is the manifestations of my lack of confidence inserted into any situation.
Yesterday I completed day 50 of the 100 Days of Fitness Challenge.  I have completed 50% of the challenge.  I posted the following video to my YouTube Channel as an update on my progress.  If you watch the video you will notice that I don't say the word try at all.  With half of the challenge completed I am confident that I will reach my goal.

In my letter Dear 2014 I said the main thing I wanted to focus on this year was becoming more confident.  I have not quite figured out how to be or feel more confident.  However, maybe a place to start is to keep doing things that challenge you over and over again until the word TRY drops out the scenario.  To keep trying things that push our limits until we are no longer trying but doing.
What have you tried recently?  What challenge can you take on that will help you feel more confident upon completion?  If you are doing a 100 Days Challenge, how is it going?
