Words cannot begin to describe the feeling of peace I get from nature.  This is the perfect way to usher in the longest day of the year, the summer solstice.  We went to our small beach and saw this on the way:

The longest day…We went over our small bridge only to discover a new one being built:

The longest day…

Finally we arrived:

The longest day…Okay, so not the best photo, but you get the picture.  My girls started digging in the sand right away and were covered…soon after we had our picnic lunch on the beach.  Since they had to wash off we all went in the “rivah” as we call it, and we discovered some tiny fish.

The longest day…Our hidden private beach is awesome…although you can’t tell much from the photos.  After our trip we came home and let the sand toys dry like this:

The longest day…And lastly, I went out to my fresh herb garden, which is all container gardening at it’s finest, and picked some mint for my sweet tea.  Come on by and get some.  My tea is famous around these parts…okay, not so much, but my friends all love it:)
