I’ve been known
to carry
tremors in inside
Ones that cause mayhem
When I speak
As the truth prevails
and the egos deflate
The passions go for a toss
I carry thunderstorms
Capable of ruining relationships
Of lies told and untold
Of promises broken and destroyed
and humility taken advantage of
Of manipulation I went through
I carry a weight
Upon my back
Of the promises I can no longer keep
but can’t brush aside
Of truths, I shouldn’t say
Lest bonds would break
And relationships would tumble
and I can’t let it go..
And I am anxious
Every other day
Is there a way
To get out of the dilemma
To speak or not to speak
The ills and the evils
The good and the bad
The misses and the bullseyes
The mistresses and the wives
And of two timed lives
A fire rages within
One, which only
I can douse
And I am yet to discover,
Should I?
Or,
Why should I?
