Welcome to the final week of summer. For real this time. Seriously, the arrival of autumn is no longer just a pumpkin spice pipe dream. It's practically here.
Fall's arrival and summer's end means that we're mere days away from the Emmy Awards and the beginning of a new television season. Yes, that is still a thing. In the age of streaming, the line between the television season and summer has become a bit hazy, but I promise there is still a season.
It seems like a cruel irony that the final week of summer is also the week leading up to the Emmy Awards, but alas that is the world we live in. Thankfully, you've got a solid week to catch up on all the drama, comedy, and reality of... you know what, it's still summer.
I'm going to need you to surrender that remote control. Seriously, put it down.
We'll be writing about Emmy nominated shows all week, so you can pretend that you're actually informed without having to spend the last week of summer on your couch. Besides, all you really need to know is the "Game of Thrones" will win almost everything and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a genius.
