Travel Tuesdays: New Orleans: WOW.

I am going to just list 5 things I love about New Orleans for today's post, and then next week dive into some more specifics because, quite frankly, I am absolutely wiped out from the amazing five days I just spent in this cool, funky, fun, crazy, creative, energetic, food fabulous city.
1) You can find 24/7 restaurants that serve the entire menu all day and the food is outta sight.
2) Music can be heard pretty much all day and each area has their own well-known music venues.
3) The people of New Orleans have so much pride in their city AND individual neighborhoods--so much that it makes me want to move there (or at the very least visit annually).
4) The mayor and other city leaders promote a "cultural economy" first and foremost, making New Orleans and exemplary city for not only surviving and thriving after the massive devastation of Katrina, but for all cities to support people in creative, innovative fields.
5) While the pride of the history of the city is evident, the focus is definitely more on the future and making New Orleans the best city it can be, which means out-of-the-box thinking is standard practice so the city has become a hub of new businesses.
6) (Because this is my blog and I will break the rules if I want to!) I LOVE THIS CITY. PERIOD.
