At this point in the awards’ season a lot of us are feeling a little unsure about our Oscar picks. Will Lincoln sweep its 12 nominated categories? Will “Argo” pull a surprise victory, despite the snub it received in the “Best Director” category? Should we see “Zero Dark Thirty” with its controversial, “pro-torture” message?
If these questions and others like them have been keeping you up at night, Twitter is here to help.
With all the Oscar speculation floating around the Twitter-sphere, it’s easy to get confused and lose your way. Thankfully, Twitter has condensed all this repetitive and redundant speculation and conjecture into one easy Web page — Twitter Oscars Index.
The convenient tool measures how Twitter Users are referring to Academy Award Nominees relative to the overall conversation on Twitter on any given day. The movies are then given Index numbers which evaluate how positive the conversation has been. In layman’s terms, 100 = very positive; 1= “Zero Dark Thirty” and its “pro-torture” message.
If this doesn’t help you figure out your opinions about this year’s Oscar nominees, well, you might be forced to go about this the old-fashioned way — go to the movies.
