No, that’s not a typo. Triathalon’s drummer, Alex Previty, explains the band’s misspelled moniker.“I always had it drilled in my head that triathlon was spelled ‘triathalon,’ with an ‘a’ in the middle, like in ‘marathon.’ We made the album cover and registered the Bandcamp URL before we even realized my mistake. And the rest is history. It also didn’t help that Adam is dyslexic.”
