…twerk It out

…twerk it out

As we approach the end of the year we’ve talked about all kinds of words that have defined 2013. Be they vague (science) or narcissistic (selfie), this year just wouldn’t have been the same without them.

Then there are those words whose mere utterance inspire daydreams of random acts of violence against those that insist on furthering their usage.

You know what I’m talking about lolz, FOMO, presh, twerk, and using because as a preposition. It’s for abominations of language like these that end of the year polls were invented.

With that I’d like to announce my formal campaign to immediately discontinue the use of twerk. It is currently the leader of Time’s “Worst Words of 2013″ poll, but it can use all the help it can get.

Of course its selection, which seems imminent at this point, by no means guarantees their extinction. It takes resolve and low tolerance, but isn’t it nice to know that someone out there feels the same way?
