…unplug

microusb-charger-standardWe’re over one week into Lent, and if surveys are to be believed, odds are several of you are breaking your resolution right now.

Don’t try to lie about your failure, that only makes it worse.

A recent survey revealed that roughly 1 in 3 Christians are giving up some form of tech that Lenten season.

All I have to say to you brave souls is good luck. I admire your ambition, but for those giving up “tech” you’ve probably already failed. It’s simply not possible. Your ambitions are outweighing the realm of the possible. Our world has become too entrenched for such a feat to be possible for those only committing to it for 40 days.

So, kudos on your thought, but I don’t think that’s all that counts in this scenario. Next time try smaller, like giving up Twitter or Facebook. Start small, dream big, you’ll get there, but probably not without your smartphone.
