I haven't been hiking at the uplands farm nature conservancy in ages so I was anxious to finally get over there last weekend to see how it fared after hurricane sandy. what used to be a clearing surrounded by a canopy of sky high trees became impassable. luckily we were able to hike around its perimeter enabling us to continue along the remainder of the trail. it was a beautiful day for a hike last friday.
