The process of formation of a star begins when the cloud is nudged into a spinning motion, perhaps by a shock wave from a nearby supernova explosion. Clumps begin to form, and they get hotter and hotter as they gain more mass. When the temperature inside such a “young stellar object” reaches 10 million degrees Celsius, a process called “nuclear fusion” ignites, and a star is born.
Well, isn’t it quite similar to us humans? The only difference is that the ‘spinning motion’ of our lives is the situations and people we face everyday, who actually keep on bringing change in us till the time we too turn out to be just like stars, small from far yet bigger than the sun itself up close, full of heat.
I like to believe that you too are one of them, not for that fact that you glow in the darkest of times but because you too are a result of this supernova explosion. How many shocking, life changing experiences must have taken place in your life that today you stand as who you are, stiff as any rock and spreading happiness whenever needed.
Fun fact, even stars are in continuous conflict with themselves. In their case it is because of scientific reactions, well in your case it is because of the conflict between your mind and heart. And just like the stars, it is the light within you that prevents you from breaking and falling to your knees, which is the most beautiful thing ever.
It’s a delusional world where everything seems so clear and yet isn’t. Same is the case with you, the more clearer you seemed, the more complex you turned out to be. But everything has a silver lining, isn’t it? Well, yours is the person you keep hidden from the world outside.
The other day, I read that stars don’t really twinkle, it is the earth’s atmosphere that makes them look like they are twinkling, and the first thing that came into my mind after reading this was you. Isn’t this how you are? Letting people see you as someone who’s so beautiful and perfect to look upto, while you deal with your internal conflicts and pains silently?
You aren’t like a star because it’s beautiful to look up to it in the night, when it’s scary and not at all pleasing and the star is the only magical thing to look upto. But because how every single fact about it resemble to who you are, whether it’s the person you are today or the quiet dealing you do with your sufferings inside and yet manage to spread happiness everywhere you go, even if it means exhausting yourself.
Whatever it may be, but you are a true star inside out which has to be the most ecstatic thing that could ever happen.
