…walk on

…walk onHappy Saturday!

I hope you’ve had a productive (or relaxing, if that’s your thing) first day of your weekend. If you have any errands that needed to be completed, I hope you had success, because from here on out, television fans, it’s going to be busy. Get your walking in now, you’ve got lots of watching to do.

We’ll ease into things tonight with “Saturday Night Live.” I know for some it’s going to be difficult to suffer through this “boring and unfunny” show, but I believe in you. Why would you put yourself through this “really bad television“? Because in reality (the place most of us live) it’s the best it’s been in a while. And it’s not just the politics. The show as a whole has been brilliant this season (David S. Pumpkins anyone?). So tune in (and feel free to tune out the politics) and enjoy (an ooey gooey quesadilla).

After that comedic warm-up, we’ll head into a leisurely stroll through the zombie apocalypse on Sunday…”The Walking Dead” is back! After a grizzly (understatement of the century) start to the season, the show dialed back the gore (I feel heard).

Finally, we’ll wrap the weekend up with the triumphant return of “Last Week Tonight,” and it promises to be an interesting season (as always) as its host, John Oliver, has said he will not be covering a certain, much-discussed individual. I’d tell you who, but it feels disrespectful of the show’s effort, so you’ll have to Google it yourself. It’s not a boycott, so much as a desire to cover issues that aren’t so wrapped up in themselves…you know…whoever they might be.

And that’s that…and I know what you’re thinking: What about the Grammys? You’ll just have to wait and see…
