Today we remember a day that will live in infamy and one that SpaghettiOs will not soon forget. I’m sorry was that thoughtless? Not as thoughtless as SpaghettiOs tweet remembering the attack on Pearl Harbor…sorry spelled that wrong… #PearlHarbor.
How thoughtless? This thoughtless:

I don’t know about you, but that’s what I look like when I’m remembering a national tragedy, right down to the sorority arm.
Needless to say, the snark and ridicule began immediately, and it’s since been removed and apologized for. Is it the most insensitive and thoughtless tweet ever? No. I’d say this gem from earlier this week beats it for thoughtlessness:
R.I.P. Nelson Mandela, subject of Weinstein Co’s Idris Elba-starrer 'Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom' which opened Nov 29 and has awards buzz.

True. Yes (well, sort of, mixed reviews would be more accurate). Appropriate RIP post for one of the great advocates for peace of our time? I’m no diplomat (and clearly neither is Ms. Finke), but I think the timing was wrong.
Still nobody’s perfect, we all say (and publicly post) things we regret. But sometimes don’t you wish these people would take a moment to read these things aloud before they send them out into the world wide web?
Perhaps on this one we should take a note from Mandela himself:
”Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
Nelson Mandela
RIP Nelson Mandela, thank you.
