Happy Mean Girls Day! As if that weren't exciting enough, This year it falls on a Wednesday. If that means nothing to you, go watch "Mean Girls" now.
As any "Mean Girls" devotee will tell you, honoring October 3rd and wearing pink on Wednesdays just scratches the surface of what this beloved film has to offer.
From "fetch" to "grool" it's expanded the English lexicon. It subtly tackles stereotypes with a heroine who is not only really good at math, but actually enjoys it too.
But most importantly it serves as an antidote to a society that often pits girls and women against each other. We could all use a reminder to be less judgemental and more supportive, and that's exactly what "Mean Girls" does.
So, today wear your pink and be your fetch, authentic self. Just don't forget to be grool by being kind.
