So last Thursday I blogged about a new health plan of mine and in this blog post I will be showing you my progress and how I’ve been getting on.
Week 1!
Here are a few of the yummy foods I’ve been eating…I can 100% honestly say I haven’t been naughty and I’ve resisted all bad foods this week.
Banana, blue berries, natural yoghurt and honey! Yum!
Banana and weetabix…I’ve also been having weetabix with natural yoghurt and honey which tastes amazing.
I’m a little addicted to tuna salads at the minute… carrot and humus as a snack is amazing…and I’ve also been trying to drink as much water as possible, which is fairly difficult for me as it bloats me so much.
I’ve also joined the gym which I am absolutely loving. Not only are you exercising but it’s a really good way to let of some steam and just have an hour to yourself. When I go to the gym I’ve been going straight on the running machine and doing 26 minutes on that, which is 2 miles. Then I do 15 minutes on the cross trainer which is 1 mile. Then I’ll move onto the weights, focusing mainly on my stomach and legs as this is the area I want to improve most. I’m also trying to get the confidence to do some floor exercises, but because I’ve never done them before I feel a bit silly!
I’ve become girly!? I’ve never really liked pink much but since I’ve been exercising I seem to be buying lots of pink things! My water bottle is pink, my bag, my trainers, a t-shirt, sports bras, it’s crazy!
So this is my food/exercise diary which is stuck up on my door not only for encouragement but so I don’t forget to fill it out! I’ve been to the gym 4 times this week and I’m going today as well. I can already feel myself getting fitter and I’m able to push myself further which is really encouraging. I’ve also measured and taken photos of my body, but I’ll share them when I’ve got a good figure to compare it to!
I’m feeling really positive about my health plan and I’m feeling much better for it. I’m getting up earlier and making the most of the day. Even simple things like doing housework gets oxygen pumping around your body and is a little exercise in its self. Despite doing so well, I am planning to treat myself a little tonight as I’m going to the pub with my boyfriend. I plan to have a healthy main meal of either a jacket potato or a salad, but I may have to get myself a dessert! This wont effect me too much and I’m not trying to lose weight, just get healthier, and we all need treats every now and again!
1 week down, 12 to go till I go on holiday!!
