“Creativity is an area in which younger people have a tremendous advantage, since they have an endearing habit of always questioning past wisdom and authority.” – Bill Hewlett It probably will not surprise you to note that all the perfectly round beads were made by grown ups.  I was in the middle of making one myself, when a 7-year-old asked me why. “Because beads are round.” I explained. To which she replied, “Says who?” It was a good question. In terms of creativity, I consider children to be the brightest leaders amongst us.  I try to listen to experts when I’m lucky enough to be in their presence so I took another peek at the piece of clay in my hands and– strangely enough– I no longer saw the makings of a round bead.  Instead, I saw the body of an orange stegosaurus! smallclay What do you see?
