Word of the Week… Week 10.

Posted on the 13 March 2013 by Bellshann @bellshann

This weeks word of the week ladies and gentlemen isss….drum roll please…..LOVE! I could write a ton of things on the word love, I think everyone could. I think of a lot of things when I think of the word love; people, food, photography, writing, fairy dust, travelling…the list could go on. However, this week I’m going to truly out-geek myself and write about books. I mean, how fantastic are books? I’ve been reading a lot just recently, which in all honesty isn’t much of a change, however I’ve been gaining different things from it this time. I usually use a good book to take me away from the real world, to step into someone else’s life for a little while and explore new things, however this time it’s been for company. As you all know I’m very close to my family, but whilst being back at work at working late shifts and my mom working in the day, I haven’t really seen much of anyone lately and I’ve found myself getting bored and lonely. It’s quite difficult for me to get lonely, I enjoy my own company and find it easy to amuse myself and keep myself busy, however the past two weeks have been quite difficult. I’ve been reading a few Mark Billingham books, which if you don’t know who he is firstly I’ll tell you he writes horror novels, and secondly I’ll tell you you should definitely go and buy his books! I’ve just started a new book this morning called ‘Yesterday’s Sun’, which as far as I can gather is about a newly married couple and the wife has to decide if she wants to live her life, or give it up for her child after having a premonition. I love things like that, always asking myself the question ‘what if…’ or ‘what would you rather’…but I hope I never actually come face to face with the question!!

We all use books for different reasons; to stop the boredom, because we enjoy it, for company…but for whatever reason, I think everybody should read. It takes you to amazing places and you really do create a new outlook on life.
