I have been blogging for a year now and I am still learning. Actually, I believe it doesn’t matter how long you do a certain thing because we are constantly learning and tweaking our techniques. It doesn’t matter if you are a writer, painter, photographer or have any other job out there, when you go back and look at your earlier work, you can definitely see some improvement. I have written several children’s books (not published…yet) and when I go back to read them again I am always editing or tweaking. That might be part of my problem…I feel like I am not done with my stories…they are a work in progress and oh yeah, ummm I can’t even draw stick people.
Nevertheless, life is a work in progress. I thought I was going to have to finish a chapter today, but as it turns out, I got an extension. I have been dragging myself around for weeks worrying about how this chapter will end and I forgot that it was actually still being written. So, for now, I will enjoy it while it lasts and I will stop trying to write the next chapter before I see how this one turns out.
“We’re all of us guinea pigs in the laboratory of God. Humanity is just a work in progress.” ~Tennessee Williams
