Happy Boxing Day!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday (whichever one you may be celebrating). It’s hard to believe the holiday, and our Christmas movie countdown (in no particular order) is already over.
Of course, as with most things in life, we were restricted by time. So today I, on behalf of 2WC,
would like to offer my apologies to all of the holiday films which did not make it into our ten-day celebration.
It doesn’t mean we don’t love you. It just means we don’t love you as much as the others.
It’s true. Most of you are chick flicks, with a strong British influence (a very special Happy Boxing Day to all of you). While we know that you’re classics with
beautiful holiday messages, not everyone else gets it.
Then there’s the animated television classic without a major motion picture adaptation…I’m sorry Charlie Brown, it was a tough call. Snoopy, I still love you.
Miracle on 34th Street, I’m sorry, somehow you’ve never made it into our Christmas viewing tradition loop, maybe next year.
Home Alone 2, I would like to apologize that for some reason a network
gave your predecessor a day-long marathon and not you (clearly the superior product).
Bernard, you know how we feel about you. Unfortunately we couldn’t justify giving The Santa Clause its own day, just because we love you.
To everyone else, we love your holiday spirit. Who knows? Maybe next year.
