As your world ripped apart…
Knowing nothing I could say or do, could change it back
or make it better.
I watched it all crumble, while trying to grasp at the pieces.
Trying to make sense of it all…
when there was no sense to be made.
How do you get it into your head?
It isn’t supposed to be them before us.
Such a big life, over far too young.
We had miracles daily, right after he passed. Things that only made sense because of him…
He doesn’t want us to forget that he is still up there…watching, loving and just trying to make us, to make you… smile.
One year ago today, our lives were changed forever.
In ways none of us could have ever expected.
I am honored to be your friend, and to have shared in the miracle that was your beautiful son.
To feel the love you have for him and the strength you carry with you every single day.
I know still…there is nothing I can do or say to make it any better, or to lessen your pain.
I can only be here if you need me, for a hug…for a laugh, for a tear or two to share…
I love you my friend.
