Stories, made of twenty thousand words from twenty  pictures. All taken with a simple 404 Instamatic Kodak. To them it’s a  broken down relic to be sold for one dollar. On the side of a neighborhood’s street.

For, me I hold in my hand a precious time capsule. That holds  inside it,  a roll of time that tells a story. Perhaps, it will tell me tales of an older generation. When road trips were taken mainly for family holidays and  trips to Disneyland.

Where,  the  mom looked  like a modest Jackie O, as she smiles with her cat eyed sunglasses. As, the father holds her  at the waist with his clean cut looks and his Buddy Holly glasses. With the children posed in front them, looking like miniature, of their parents.

Maybe, within in this time machine are twenty  photos  of an European vacation. A  vacation that  was suppose to  start  an early retirement. On this retirement  there were  plans. To take a picture of  each  moment  from a mental  bucket list.  A list  that was made before the phrase became popular.

Whatever,  is on this film of history, I won’t know yet, nor do I want to know. As I fumble with it,to see if works. I get the idea to fill in the  left over film. I thought I’d bring  the past into the future.

A future where a simple phone can take a smart picture. In a modern time, when road trips are made , just for fun. Where, the photos of those treasured time are posted on a popular  photo sharing  network . Which has  this camera’s name, as  it’s name sake.

Because of  this  I have  learned that  there’s  beauty in trashed relics. Really.  Especially, in the eyes of now and a  future generation. That, all I want to do is  hold this camera to  my  heart. While,  just enjoying it’s mysteries and keeping them safe where they’re at. And like Technology,  I’ll  get  inspiration from it’s presents, for my  future  entertainment.

This week, I bought this camera and two other vintage cams for a dollar each. The on above still   had it’s  film in it. That , I wanted to go and get it developed, But, I’am not for fear that the film is  to  expired. Also maybe  the  film has already been exposed to light.

So, I’d rather leave it. Besides original film gives it some more mystic.
