Favorite song.
I had to think about this for, oh, as long as a millisecond. Kokomo by the Beach Boys is my favorite song. Unlike many other songs, which I need to be in a certain frame of mind to fully appreciate, I can listen to Kokomo anytime, rain or shine. Kokomo is my go-to song for all occasions.
Music has the power to evoke a myriad of emotions. Listening to Kokomo makes bad days better and good days great for me. I think the effect this song has on me stems from the fact that I was in a good place, both mentally and geographically speaking, when I heard it for the first time. Now I only need to hear the first few notes and I’m brought back to a time and place that will always be special to me.
Bottom line: if you want to start your day off on a good note, I highly recommend you give Kokomo a shot.
