All she truly ever wanted was a simple life. She never understood who she wanted to be, but she knew all the places she wanted to visit and see. Brief visions and child like crushes , every man she dated , she image a husband to be. Thier children playing in a huge back yard running carefree. Those were precious moments spending time with her family that filled her with glee.
This was the wondrous life, she had a husband, twins, (one boy, one a girl) and a little garden where she would grow pumpkins and chickpeas. She wouldn’t have traded or traveled over any sea. this life she thought fulfilled her needs.
Except, after a tiring day, she would sit and reflect while sipping tea. Asking her shelf, while looking at her pair of glass slippers, shining ornaments in a tree. Is that truly what I want to be? “Yes”, she smiled imagination take heed, a wondrous life ,carefree, and certainly complete. With cup in hand she breathes in autumn's breezes, looks around ignoring the glistening pair she says to herself “I'm right where I need to be.”
