This week for WIAW I thought I would do a day in the life of ME at my new job!
5:55 I get out of bed
6am I start some sore of exercise. I woke up this morning and did 30 minutes of yoga and some toning exercising.
6:40 start to make breakfast. Eggs whites on toast with water and a splash of OJ
7:25am I have to be leaving my house to get to work on time. I drink a full travel size mug of coffee on the drive
8:30: I am settled into my desk and checking emails on my computer
9:30 I start to get bored and think of food!
10:15 I reach for trail mix which is my biggest weakness EVERRRR. My boss has a giant jar of it. I can’t resist it, its so salty and delicious!
I also snack on some gum and sucky candies throughout the whole day. The sugar keeps me going, but defintely isn’t helping the number on the scale decrease!
12:30: Lunch… Today it was salad with a chicken breast seasoned with salt and pepper. I also had an apple on the side.
3:30pm I had a Chia Latte out of the Kureg. I needed the sugar and caffeine to get me through the rest of the day.
For some reason today I was really anxious and bored at the same time so I just wanted to eat and graze. I tried to drink water and focus on other things. It worked sometimes, but the second I stopped doing something, my mind went back to food.
5:45pm Change out of my work clothes and put on my running clothes – at work so I don’t have an excuse to not workout. I am always exhausted after work and if I go home I never have the motivation or desire to exercise. So I change at work so I am all ready to run.
6:00pm Leave work and drive to the local bike/running trail. Today I ran 4 miles in about 30 minutes. It is so nice to be off of the main roads and surrounded by trees when running!
7:30pm Arrive home and cook dinner
8:00pm Dinner time! Tonight I had salad with mustard and balsamic vinaigrette. I also roasted carrots, broccoli and asparagus for about 20 minutes in 400 degrees. I coated them with about 3/4 tbs of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
8:30pm Dessert – This was so good! I want to eat it for every meal. Stonyfield Oikos Greek Yogurt (that I got at the RibFest 5 Mile Race) with 1 tbs of natural Teddie Peanut Butter and a handful of frozen blueberries. I really enjoyed this yogurt; it was just as good, if not better than Chobani. I am going to have to do a taste test, side by side.
9:00pm BLOG!
10:30pm Get ready for bed and hopefully SLEEP!
There you have it. The day in the life of ME! Not that exciting, but it is what it is. What does your typical day look like?
