A Dream at 2:00am

Two wild horses galloping about.

Two robbers creeping when the lights are out.Two puppies waiting ready for a game.Two raindrops trickling down my window pain.Two trees growing, trying to touch the sky.Two people parted, trying not to cry.Two ducklings waddling down to have a swim.Two old men sharing a bottle of gin.Two flies buzzing, trying to be a pest.Two kittens, tired out having a bit of rest.Two people hurrying, trying to catch a plane.With bread and cheese for supper,I could dream it all again.I wrote this poem way back in 1981 when I was twelve years old.
