Here is my mom (Mrs. Darcy) in her kitchen. She used different colored cabinetry to make kitchen look as if it were full of antique furniture that has been there forever. SisterT bought her that bunny pillow in the nook from Etsy!
You'll see that bunnies remain a theme in her home. That painting is from a local shop here in Saint Louis. The walls are a lovely shade of sage green. 
Here is one of the lights in the kitchen... antique forks and spoons! Mrs. Darcy made a wreath for one of her doors the other day using a canvas/rafia material. I'll ask her to share the directions.
She loves natural elements... using earthen fabrics and birds as accents.

The dining room is my favorite room in the house, partly due to the light features!
