Her tiny smoky eyes
Her pointed little nose
Those lovely curls
Which she flickered with her finger
If a moment so arose
That eagerness in her
Wanting to hear
Whatever I had to say
And that loud clear chatter
And her foolish gibber gabber
Felt soothing, as if time froze
She murmured to the bees
She flew with the birds
She touched every heart
She touched every soul
There wasn’t any poor in her world
She said to me once
“Spreading smiles sets her apart”
I wonder if she is naive
Or is my world that sophisticated
That I don’t know
How to win a heart !!
