I never knew what made her more happy
Was it holding me for the first time in her arms ?
Or was it kissing me for the first time ?
Was it hearing my first cackle ?
Or was it my first firm step ?
Was it my first success that made her proud ?
Or was it my innocent smile that would melt her sorrows ?
Was it something I did for her ?
Or was it plainly because she was my ‘Mother’ ?
Was it because, like my siblings, I loved her deeper than she would imagine ?
Or was it because she always knew how deep it went ?
I wouldn’t know now !
Because now, even though
she seems around somewhere
But she wouldn’t answer….
