Athiests Piss Me Off

Posted on the 22 May 2012 by Nickmcdonald @W_W_O_Nick_McD
I'll start by saying that I'm neither a Theist nor an Atheist, I'm somewhere in the middle, I guess I classify as an Agnostic. I don't dislike any religion, but there is something to be said about the people who practice their religion openly and force it upon others. And Atheists are the worst for that. They, particularly one person I know whose name rhymes with Canada and starts with an A claims that religion poisons everything, and causes wars, and does nothing but bad. And yeah, I get where she is coming from; there has been a lot of blood shed over which god or gods people choose to believe in. People just always think that they are right, that their way of thinking is the only rational way of thinking, and that is not true, no one can know for sure that they are right when it comes to religion, hell it's possible that Zeus and Poseidon exist since there is no way to actually PROVE that they don't. Not just beyond a reasonable doubt but PROVE it 100% it is not possible!! How ever unlikely it may seem, it can't be 100%, nothing can.
The thing that pisses me off most about Atheists, not Atheism, ATHEISTS, is that they claim that Atheism is not a religion. You don't have to have a god to be a religion, the lack of one will do just fine; A religion is a set of beliefs, that's it, everyone has one, and everyone is religious no matter what you believe.
Atheism is NOT a lifestyle based on the lack of religion, it is a religion based on the lack of a GOD.
Let me again tell you that I don't care what religion you follow or what you believe, that's not a snobby "I don't care" it just doesn't cross my mind. You telling me what you believe is like telling me your food preference: Oh you like ketchup. I don't. That's it I'm not going to say "Why the fuck do you like that stuff? it tastes sooo bad!! I'm not going to be your friend anymore, you liking ketchup is a deal breaker, get out of my face you tomato junkie!"
Some people want to have faith in something. They want to know that when they die they will go to heaven, and for some reason I don't understand Atheist want to know that when they die everything will just go black.... I see no appeal in that hahaha I choose to have no faith, I find comfort in not knowing what is going to happen, I see how having the answers is nice sometimes, but for me it is more about finding out the answers when I get there, I like to live spontaneously and leave as much of my concentration on the present instead or the future and past.
One reason I don't have faith in any know religion specifically is because none of them have the answers I am looking for. When I am looking for the answer to the most important questions (What am I? Where did I come from? How did all of this start?) I have never found a conclusive answer that makes any logical sense, you always end up at the chicken and the egg scenario!! first religion - God created us..... Ok... who created God? Ummm he's God he has always existed..... HOW?!?! Now science - The universe was created at the big bang... Ok... how did the big bang start? It was created by the Multiverse.... Ok.. how was the multiverse created? Ummmm........... It's always existed?  OMFG (pun intended) that doesn't make any sense!!! something can't just BE!!!! There has to be another level, above where we are looking, something that can exist without physically existing. And this is just my personal beliefs coming out so tune me out if this is heathenism in your eyes. But what I personally think is that physical existence its self is completely irrational and impossible so you have to ask how is it that I am experiencing things if it is impossible?? Think of when you are dreaming, you are in what feels like a "real" world you can touch, feel, see, smell, hear but none of that actually is right it is just an idea manufacturing it's self in your head. so why can't the universe be the exact same and life is the dream.
