From the title of this blog today, you might all be thinking that I’m a total ego maniac. Well it’s not true, friends. I’m as self conscious as a person can get, but today I must declare to all of you that I am deserving of a damn medal.
With my family gone for 4 days, you’d think that I would have checked in at a spa – but nope, not me. I tackled a Herculean effort. I cleaned my kids’ rooms. Oh my G-d, let me tell you – that is no small task. Ten garbage bags later, I didn’t even finish. Didn’t even approach their closets, and my mind is just boggled. How do we accumulate all of this garbage? It’s not healthy – too much clutter is not good for the soul. Blech!!!!
So, here I am tooting my own horn, because I need some recognition for this. Sorry, I am not a generous anonymous donor of Mommy cleaning services. I am a Mom who needs a pat on the back and an awesome vacation – and oh, yes, maybe a medal.
My song of the day is a little bratty, but cleaning two kids’ rooms is enough to make anyone feel ornery. Here ya’ll go…The Dollyrots singing “Because I’m Awesome,” because it’s true – today I am definitely awesome.
