Benefits of Using Foil to Create Steam in Hair

Beware! Funny pictures below!haha... don't judge.

In the pursuit of long healthy beautiful hair (emphasis on long) I'm sure most of you have tried some pretty crazy stuff! Well trust me when I say I'm not scared to experiment with my hair in other to find out what works best.
Well I decided to put physics to the test ladies! Back in high school I learned that foil is brilliant in retaining heat. Because of this property, it is used a lot in cooking, to keep food warm (by covering the food with foil)
So after shampooing and conditioning with cool water, I wrapped my hair in foil! Yep people, imma get that long hair even if it means looking like a space freak for a day haha! Well I left the foil on for like 2hrs. The idea was to see if the foil will generate heat in my hair. Which it did! My scalp was actually feeling warm/hot. The heat was stuck in, rotating in my hair.......Pretty much steam!

Benefit of the steam generated in hair and scalp

1. Heat helps to deep condition and lock in the conditioning
2. Stimulate the hair follicles to produce more hair
3. Hair retains moisture, which is like sooooo important for transitioning hair!
4. There was definitely less breakage or shedding after I rinsed and combed my hair
5. Leaves hair feeling soft which makes it easier to handle.

So yeah guys, my crazy experiment was a success! What crazy hair stunts have you tried?
