Bittersweet Symphony, #656

Posted on the 16 April 2013 by Juliezaz1 @juliezaz1

Last night was such an incredibly joyful night for me, as it was the one-time only performance of the play I co-wrote and co-directed called “The Three Taishim Chaverim” or “The Three Goat Friends.”  The children did an incredible job, and I am so proud of each and every one of them.  They really pulled it off, and this group of Kindergarteners-2nd graders was just adorable!

Unfortunately, because I was working the event and prompting kids with their lines where they needed it, I was unable to take pictures and video tape.  Of course, I designated a few others to do it for me, but so far, I only have one photo to share.  My friend, Jennifer and our Narrator’s Mom, posted this one to Facebook with the quote, “And they all lived happily ever after.”

What a group of children!  I’m going to miss working with them every Monday afternoon…which leads me to the point of this blog today.  Completing “The Three Taishim Chaverim” is the most bittersweet feeling.  Besides missing this very sweet group of kiddos, we will not be teaching our Performing Arts Club class again until the Fall.  I can’t believe we have to wait that long!  Yes, it is something good to look forward to, but I will really miss it.

So….my song of the day is the “Bittersweet Symphony” by the Verve.  I am singing along thinking of my evening last night and of the next production, too.  Click HERE to go to Youtube, so you can hear the song and understand the place I’m at today.  All my love and appreciation to everyone involved with the play yesterday.  You rock!
