Bunch of Firsts for 2013

‘You are holding the only substance of its kind in the entire world.” –my mad scientist client told me. As a tax accountant, they don’t let us see the light of day much unlike our auditor brethren, but yesterday I finally got to visit a client site in PA and try to organize the accounting records. I’m not sure what substance I was holding, nor did I retain the science lesson he gave me, but I did get to see pictures of atoms!Also, I managed to catch up on most of your blogs. Whew, everyone is pregnant or getting married, or if they’re like me – drinking to take the edge off! Thank you for all your wonderful comments on my Medical Monday’s blog. My first class went well and it feels great to be sitting in a classroom with other brilliant students again.M has a new first today too. His first pelvic exam. BWAHAHA. I am trying my best to be crude supportive about the whole thing. “Wake up sweetie, you have to look at cervixes today!”, “Have a good day at school with the vaginas!” “Wash your hands before you enter the house!” Subtle, yet tasteful no? Vaginas are a thousand times better than rectums; I’ll probably just pretend the latter exam never happened when he has to do that.Will keep you informed, back to the grindstone now.
