Celebrate the Small Things: Pleasant Outcomes, Self Care, Unusual Spaces & a Just Right Attitude

Celebrate the Small Things Blog hop post for February 14, 2014I participated in my first ever blog comment blitz today - which included commenting on VikLit's  Scribblings of an Aspiring Writer blog.

I didn't know she was hosting the Celebrate the Small Things Blog Hop but as soon as I saw it I decided... I would leap in and join the party.

Here are my five things:

1. I went in for my every six monthly full body scan which is where I get every bit of my skin examined by my dermatogist to hunt out any suspicious looking lesions or spots anywhere on my body. I pointed out some areas of concern and he agreed, there was a spot to be concerned about - he called it by a fancy name but I am calling it "a pre-cancerous blob" since that is what the fancy name meant. He burned it off so once again I am sporting a lovely facial bandaid.

A Surprising Spot adjacent to the Panorama Vista Preserve in Oildale I never intended to photograph my china & goodies on an antique side table next to a horse grave and a hay cube, but hey... I'm an adventurer!

3. I finally got to work on some of more china desert plate stackey things. (Again, technical names elude me today!) I am in love with these. Seriously in love. Taking thrifted items and combining them into something useful AND beautiful? I'm all about it.

4. Last night I found some great bedtime yoga videos. I think they'll help,

5. I am giving up sugar. It is incredible how four days off the stuff and I feel so much better. My will power is so much stronger than Sunday, the last day I let my sweet tooth rule my eating life.

If you would like to publicly declare and celebrate your small things, follow the link by the image at the top of this blog post. Yay for celebrations!
