Amir Khusro is a great Sufi poet and disciple of Nizammuddin Auliya. Mostly his creations are in devotion of his Nizam (master) and they are portrayed in a way a beloved is talking about her lover. That worldly love known to people is used as metaphors by him to tell his heavenly love to God or to his master. I have shared here one of his famous 'Ghazal' sung as qawwali by many Indian and Pakistani Singers. In this he said that by just a glance a heavenly look his master has taken away all from him.
