Choose the Right
- Having a positive attitude.By changing our inner attitudes, we can alter the outer aspects of our lives likewise. So much in life depends on our attitude & how we respond to circumstances that happen to us.
A personal example is last night while out on a double date with my BFF & her hubby, I ended upletting my frustrations get the best of me by giving her hubby a "piece of my mind". I oftentimes havea hard time saying NO which has built up a ton of resentment and like a volcano, it erupted last night. I left the night with feelings of guilt, anger & unresolved issues. Rather than discussing how I felt with a sincere heart & the spirit of God in me, I let how I felt about the situation be overshadowed and walked all over. Perhaps some of you out there can understand what I'm speaking of, perhaps you can't. I know that the way I chose to handle this situation had multiple other options which would have resulted in a more positive outcome for all of us. I know that the friendship I have will withstand this bump in the road. However, I also know that I chose to blatantly ignore what my Father in Heaven has taught me and I can only hope I will choose differently in the future.
Lesson Learned: Hindsight is 20/20 and although, we can't direct the wind, we can adjust the sails.
