I’m happy to report that my family made it back safe and sound last night, and our reunion was oh so sweet. How I missed them so! Don’t get me wrong – a few days of peace and quite was lovely, but the fact is that home is where your family is.
My son, with all his rough and tough wild energy, ran into my arms and cried. “I missed you too much, Mommy.” I felt the same way, kiddo. Boy did those little arms around me feel good.
My song of the day is a beautiful one from One Republic called “Come Home.” It is about missing your family members, and so it captures the moment of how I was feeling. Today will b e a family day, and there is nothing more special than that.
