Completing 'How I Met Your Mother' A Revelation

Hey guys,
Sorry for the late update, working full time and feeling sick as a dog is not a good combination!
So today I learnt a valuable lesson, from a TV show I committed myself to.That TV show is 'How I Met Your Mother', a wonderful, heart evoking, TV series.  Here is how it all began.
After a long day at work, I returned to find my housemates laughing hysterically at HIMYM. Curiously, I asked what TV show it was, and from there I was hooked. As the weeks progressed, I watched series one and two feverishly. committing every day off to it. Then, as some TV shows do I lost my interest, other things took over.
After finishing University, I found myself rekindled in the lives of these people, of their tribulations, of their struggles. I realized I had a part of each of these characters within me. Marshall's dedication, Robin's vulnerability, Lilly's passion, Barney's humor and most importantly, Ted's love for the world. This is what kept me watching. these honest, fresh characters.
Each series something kept me watching, something about how the actors became these characters, how charming it all was. I've tried to watch series' like 'Once Upon a Time', and 'Pretty Little Liars' but nothing had this flawless likability towards these characters. It was almost like I was watching real friends dealing with real world issues. Who hasn't felt unlucky, uninspired, downtrodden in their early twenties?
So season nine crept up quicker than I had expected it too. I started to savor each episode as the ending drew closer. Oh, but what an ending!
There is something so ... magical? about the way a series can draw you, and then blast you off when a series finale comes around. I cried SO much at the series finale, more than you would perhaps like to imagine. I won't spoil it for you, as I tried so hard to avoid these spoilers, but the ending sure did deliver. I felt like everything worked out, as often life does not bring what you expect it to bring. My heart sung at the final scene, my eyes wept with sadness, as I closed this familiarity between myself and close friends.
'How I Met Your Mother' is a triumphant television series, that matches an epic three hour film ten fold. It's gripping, moving and overall a poignant love story. And this is simply, the only way I can put it without ruining it for you all. If you haven't watched it, I urge you please do! You will not be disappointied, and will likely be equally as hooked as I was. I might possibly watch the side series 'How I Met Your Dad'. Yet, for now, I savor 'How I Met Your Mother' as I cry into my popcorn filling this void with 'Death Note' and 'Breaking Bad'.
