Koda and Me
Today me, Mom, Dad and sister went to the Midland OSPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) to look at a rat for adoption. He is black with a white belly. He looks scruffy and his name is Koda. When we got there they told us to be careful because he bit someone that morning and drew blood. They gave my mom gloves so she could pick him up, they didn't want to touch him. He looked dreadful, was alone and terrified, obviously we adopted him. I mean how could we leave him? When we got him back to the cottage Calvin and Neil didn't like him and Koda was terrified of them. He screamed a lot when they came near him so we put him in his own cage. It turns out he is a nice boy, he was just very scared. Parson likes him and is nice to him, they get along. I don't think he remembers being with other rats before.
Sunday, July 15, 2012Me, sister and dad played outside all day. We played with our Nerf guns and rode our bikes. After dinner we went to the beach and played in the water. Dad went home at 8pm because he has to go to work next week.

I rode my bike a little bit but it was really hot so I just mostly relaxed at the cottage.

We also went to my favorite stores almost everyday, Team Red's Thirft Store and the Salvation Army Thrift Store. I found "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" books one and two. I then also bought the "Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul" and "Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul"2. I read "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" first and I really liked it so I bought the others.
"One day" sister and me played Monopoly for two days. I won but she had mostly given up because the game wouldn't end.
