I need a vacation. Plain and simple. I’ve watched everyone around me take vacations all summer long, and now that summer is winding down, I’m itching to roam.
I dream of walking through sand and having the waves lull me to sleep. I dream of tall pine trees and the coolness of being in a higher altitude. I dream of being somewhere else for just a few moments.
It’s been a good summer, but I miss the days when summer meant play time. Now summer means work time, and I’m ready to wind down.
It’s over in one day, and even though it’s been good, I’m ready to move away from it. So long summer! Until next year…
