DAY 4: That's My Thinking Face.

Posted on the 01 August 2012 by Nicky83 @thebigthreezero
Now I am feeling human again after not last night, or the night before but the night before that! I got thinking about my journey. An abundance of articles, and blogs depict an image of turning 30 as a wakening to the meaning of life or at least the meaning of their own lives and have created lists to prove it! So to get into the spirit of things I picked a list and started to compare myself. Anything I can't tick off is going on my TO DO LIST (See tabs).
This is a snippet of the list more to come over the next few week.

1. One old boyfriend you can imagine going back to and one who reminds you of how far you’ve come.

Sure I have ex boyfriends but I can honestly say hand on heart that I couldn't imagine myself going back to anyone of them. I'm not being resentful and bitter because I can look back at each relationship with a smile at having felt affection, cringe at some of the mistakes I made but appreciate the lessons I learned from them. As for an ex who reminds me of how far I've come, hell yeah I have one but no names mentioned!

2. A decent piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in your family.
Does furniture from Ikea count as decent furniture?
3. Something perfect to wear if the employer or man of your dreams wants to see you in an hour. The man of my dreams sees me everyday at my worse. So if I wear anything that isn't 'work' gear or PJ's he is impressed.
4. A purse, a suitcase, and an umbrella you’re not ashamed to be seen carrying.Purse check, umbrella check but NO to the suitcase as I don't actually own one. It's going on my TO DO LIST.
5. A youth you’re content to move beyond.Growing up I've made mistakes and tried my best to learn from them, I've pushed boundaries, I've partied, I've studied, I've loved and I've lost. I don't think that at 30 that is my lot. I accept I'm a little older and possibly a little wiser and approach things in a more mature manner (most of the time) compared to in my 'youth'. So if you agree that seems like evidence enough to me that I'm moving beyond my 'youth' (kind of).
DAY 4: That's My Thinking Face.(Little ME)
This list was chosen as it was one of the first hits in google search but also because it claims to be the list of '30 things every women must have & know by 30' EEEEEEEKKKK!
