Let me introduce to you the next American star…… Ms. Toya Graham!
This woman has fast become a spokesperson for the Baltimore riots. She is the lady that found her son in the middle of the rioting with a hoodie over his face and slapped the crap out of him for being there and participating in the violence. Perhaps she is a little rough around the edges, but I applaud this fine dame. In essence, she really wasn’t slapping the crap out of him. She was slapping some sense into him.
What would you do if you were in her shoes and found your kid taking part of something immorally and unlawfully correct and that could get them killed? Most of us would do whatever it takes to remove them from the situation. Toya Graham just happened to do it in front of TV cameras.
So, my song of the day is for motherhood, because we all need to keep tabs on our kids and knock some sense in them from time to time. Tough love, friends! This is 2Pac singing “Dear Mama.” I certainly wish his Mama could have saved him and keep him out of trouble. It’s nice to bring 2Pac back today. May it be a reminder to that 16-year-old kid that he’s lucky to have Toya Graham as his Mama.
