[December 21st 2013]

Took this this morning at 7am.

Today is the beautifully Wintry day of December 21st-I love how that sounds crisp, fresh-like a snowflake.

Have you ever noticed how people seem to take 2 different routes to tell someone about Jesus? Either you, "Have to try Him, He makes me feel so good!" (ring a bell? sounds like drugs...or Orbit gum "for a good clean fresh feeling, no matter what!") or, "Without Jesus you're screwed up for life, you've got no chance!"
To be fair, the latter hasn't been seen for awhile after people figured that it really wasn't working.
[December 21st 2013] I'm kinda sorta reading  a book, not very diligently (i know, i know) by Nancy Pearcey, called, "Saving Leonardo".
Now, I'm not even past chapter 3, but so far the idea is how people have been taking Jesus to fi  their prescription bottles.
(just came up with that, and hey look-it works!)
And also there's a handy little chart that looks like this:
Values Subjective ___________________________ Facts Objective Now, since I'm not oh so far into this book, I couldn't honestly tell you what this is quite leading up to-but it's pretty clear to me like this, "That guys' shirt is red." Objective. "I really like the color red." Subjective. See? Now, in our world today, everyone is prescribing a Subjective Faith. Oh, I went there! (let's see how it comes out-I'm so sorry if I'm stepping on your toes, bear with me-or leave, it's up to you). People were asked stuff like, 2+2+4 (objective), the house is white (objective) but when asked, "God is real" most people answered (even Christians) Subjective. Like being a Christian is only a set of Values. Remember Jesus' whole lecture on how, "'If you have the Faith the size of a Mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Go! throw yourself into the sea", and it will be done.'" (Matthew 17:20) [paraphrased]. So, if people, specifically teens, are being told that God is real, in the subjective form-and not in the fact that Jesus is Objective, meaning He's on the same reality that the sky is blue, 2+2=4 and that we need oxygen to survive-think of how much more realistic, no, not realistic, how much more Alive we would become. If we truly believed our creator God was as real as the air we breathed, I think there would be a lot more mountains being moved. I myself am guilty of this, "subjective" faith-it's true, faith is partially subjective-and it is absolutely impossible to truly prove God as Objective, (which is why we have these, unmentionable to[pics nobody talks about in church because it will always lead back to, "God's not real!") And this is where it gets confusing, because I just said you can't prove God as Objective, but you should believe God is objective, but that's impossible? Look! a little circle of improbability-Halt! This is where Faith comes to play. Because if you have read the Bible, and if you believe what it says-if  you believe that Jesus is who He says He is. Then, God is real. (Objective). Now we've just gotta tell someone else, help them to see it-to take off their blinders. Remember, not everyone can be saved (huge discouragement, I know, I feel you) but that should absolutely never stop us from showing Jesus to these people, even if it is never spoken or written. Love can always be shown, in one way or another. Let's do this. Merry Christmas, Godbless LizB [December 21st 2013]
