Deep & Wide, Deep & Wide... There's a Fountain Flowing Deep & Wide....

Fountain flowing deep and wide

Last night before I went to sleep I read the prompt for today's reverb.

Hand over heart, the prompt to ask....what my heart wants from me (or with me)....

This is a technique I have used before - quieting myself and giving space to focus upon my heart and where it would have me go.

I fell asleep with my hand on my heart, having a conversation with her.

When I woke, I ran around doing early morning Mommy things. I even wrote a couple other blog posts before sitting down to get this onto the page.

I thought I might go out wiht my notebook but the day is gray and I decided both my heart and I would most benefit if I just stay put for now and re-ignited the question.

I went back, hand over heart, and listened.

My heart literally warmed at the attenion as if to encourage our time together to stretch out.

I got up to feed my human hunger, which I noticed more when playing attention. I opened the fridge and heard, "More of the same, bigger and bigger."

I was reminded of a conversation I had once with a reader of some sort. She had said something similar. "More of the same, bigger and bigger."

I smiled, and nodded as I poured milk over my Special K.

I sat and ate and heard a song in my head. "Deep and wide, deep and wide, there's a fountain flowing deep and wide." repeat, repeat.

Let my foundtain flow, deep and wide.

My poetry fountain, my prose fountain, my visual art fountain, my friend fountain, my activist fountain. Fountains don't have to try, they simply do what they were made to do, flow deep and wide, as am I.

I'm going to continue this conversation, to see if my heart has other songs she wants to sing.
