Greetings!
The Diamond of the Week goes to:
Taj George
Kudos to Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George for standing up for her marriage as well as standing up for her family when she was attacked in the media by a blogger. For those of you that don’t know who Taj is, she is part of the r&b singing trio, SWV, which consists of Taj, Leah, and Coko. In the 90′s, they were on top of the charts with songs such as Weak and I’m So Into You, just to name a few. Well a few weeks ago, the WE network premiered SWV’s reality show appropriately titled, SWV Reunited. So far, the show has been pretty good and they have been getting to the root of the problems as to what broke them up as a group when they were at the peak of their career. (I saw Leah in person several times because she is a member of my church. She’s very pretty in person and low key).
Last night’s episode was focused on a blogger that felt the need to say that Taj’s husband, Eddie George, was cheating on her. Not only that, the blogger kept attacking her and her family in the media. Taj made it very clear that she was extremely upset with the blogger for lying about her husband and so therefore, she called the blogger up and gave that person a serious piece of her mind. Although bloggers can and will talk about whatever they want to talk about (even if it’s not true), I applaud Taj for standing up for what she felt was right and letting the blogger know that they needed to back off of her family.
Now as far as I’m concerned, I don’t know if Taj’s husband is cheating on her or not, and frankly, I don’t give a damn. He’s not my man, so therefore, he’s not my problem. But unfortunately, there are those bloggers that try their best to dig up whatever dirt they can, just to get people to subscribe to their site so that their site becomes well-known…even if that means that they hurt other people and their families in the process.
As a matter of fact, there is one popular blogger in particular that is ALWAYS talking about who’s sleeping with who, how many celebrities are doing drugs, how many celebrities are broke, and how many celebrities are gay or on the “downlow”. I didn’t subscribed to the blog because it doesn’t have any useful information that I give a damn about. Every once in a blue moon, I would visit the site just for kicks but eventually, I stopped because with all of the “dirt” that this blogger supposedly knew, I refused to believe that it was true. Some of the stories were contradicting and to me, enough was enough. Besides, when you make up lies in regards to a person’s life, you will reap what you sow in the worst way.
