Lupita Nyong’o
For those of you who didn’t get a chance to tune into the 86th Oscars award show on March the 2nd, you definitely missed a monumental moment when Lupita Nyong’o won an Oscar for her supporting role in the movie, 12 Years a Slave. This is the first time that I have ever honored someone for the Diamond of the Week award twice but I would be an idiot if I didn’t recognize Lupita’s Oscar win. Everyone knows that an Oscar is the most prestigious award to win and I was just too thrilled to see this beautiful Black woman grace the stage to receive it. She is definitely a shining star and before you know it, little girls everywhere will want to be just like her.
